Why do we think external collaborations are important?
The main goal of SCI-BUS is to provide seamless access to major computing, data and networking infrastructures and services (so called distributed computing infrastructures, DCIs, such as supercomputers, grids, desktop grids, clouds). To achieve this goal SCI-BUS develops to a generic-purpose gateway technology as a toolset where knowledge and technology transfer with related projects is a good starting point. Collaborations are also needed to reach out to as many communities as possible.
What is a Memorandum of Understanding?
To formalise such collaborations, we need to summarize what we can provide and we require from our partners. To have these things all together we create document called Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that is signed document written to confirm and define the framework of collaboration between the SCI-BUS project and individual partners.
How can new projects start collaborating with us?
If you are interested in such collaborations, if you think that we are aiming to a common goal, please contact us. The main contact for such inquires is the project coordinator, Peter Kacsuk.
